Garmin’s bronze, thru-hull mount transducer with fairing provides depth and temperature data. This transducer has an operating frequency of 50 or 200 kHz and mounts on a 0-25 deadrise angle.

The sensitivity of B258 is 25 times that of single-element 50/200 kHz sensors. This 1 kW transducer allows the 600 W fish finder to show the same performance as its more powerful sibling-especially at 50 kHz. How does it do it? B258 uses Airmar’s unique ceramic element structure. The resulting narrow beam will clearly distinguish individual fish and demersal fish up to 670 m deep from their habitats. !!!!—-
